Very exciting news from my home in Lake Tahoe. Via The Associated Press: "Squaw Valley USA, the iconic Lake Tahoe-area resort that has been home to some of the country's top downhill skiers, is joining operations with neighboring Alpine Meadows in a deal to be announced Tuesday." "The merger comes as Tahoe resorts and business leaders are studying a bid for the Winter Olympics, perhaps for the next available Games in 2022. BIG news on Nov 3rd

November 3rd is shaping up to be a very big day. Canon and Red are both claiming some big announcements for that Thursday. While Red claims it will be announcing change to the long anticipated Scarlet and shipping dates before the end of the year... Canon only says "Canon is making an historic global announcement." This could mean the 5DMKIII. Or a s35mm camera. Who knows? Both companies have the capability of making some serious waves as they both have literally changed the whole landscape of film-making over the past few years. Nov 3rd they will go head to head to try and do the same again...
